Mitapast Srl was created in 1995 by the purchase of the MI-TA Snc company catering branch. In January 2000, the business division Speedy Chef was set. It mainly deals with food marketing and precisely supplies local bars, pubs and snack bars with fresh, frozen, baked products and ready meals. Through the direct selling system, five refrigerator-vans are employed and about a thousand customers are acquired in the areas of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto and even Lecce. In 2005 a new division was created: Punto brunch was thought for directly run or franchisee businesses having a fast refreshment bar and coffee bar where the most of the products are made by Mitaplast or sold by Speedy Chef. The opening of new restaurants, characterized by standardized colours, style and furniture, is expected within shopping malls, historical centres and entertainment places in general. At the end of 2005 the division Peccati di Coccio was created. It deals with the production of frozen meals, destined for the Ho.Re.Ca. channel prepared and cooked in earthenware bowls, recalling the Apulian habits and traditions; a true exclusive novelty for both the national and international market.
