In 1970 Daniele Godino was 15 years old when in Asigliano he started to work with his mother and father (a master baker), devoting himself with passion to the yeasting pastries and attending courses in order to learn the art of pastry.During the years he improved in the field of sweets and savouries, and he started to use an old biscuit recipe. The biscuits were made in the 1800's at the nobles' court in Asigliano, the town in the province of Vercelli, famous for its oxen race. They are simple short pastry biscuits made with wheat flour, sugar, eggs and butter and they are very delicate and wholesome and appreciated all around Italy. The Asianot biscuits are handmade by Daniele with the help of a wrought iron machine used about hundred years ago.In 2001 Giacomo Degrandi entered into partnership with Daniele and the business was moved to Vercelli. Here Pasticceria Godino gained more prestige and it specialized itself in catering service for weddings and banquets for all occasions.
