In the neighborhood of Santa Gabbia, in Novara, there is a place where the southern and northern Italian culture meet in a melting pot. Il Calabrese is a grocer's shop specialized, as the name shows, in selling typical products from Calabria and much more: Anduja (Nduja) sheep's milk cheese from Crotone, provolone cheese from Bergamo, bread made of typical hard wheat from Aspromonte, etc. Il Calabrese makes pretty gift packages with selected products and home delivery by request.
Closed on Sunday.
