Their story began far back in 1848, when the Eppinger family moved from Hungary to Trieste and opened a bakery in the city center, specializing in the production of fresh desserts, traditional pastries, candies, confectioneries, jam… After World War II, the founder Giuseppe Eppinger’s heirs closed the business, but the historical brand, so popular in the city, continued and exists even today, carried ahead, for almost two years, by the Al Bom Bom bakery, who took the burden and the honor to keep the Eppinger’s name alive. It is now possible to buy the Putiza, the Presnitz, the Eppinger Pinza all year long and, in the right season, traditional holiday sweets like Fave Triestine, Paschal Titole and marzipan, that convey the middle Europe vocation of the multicultural city Trieste. At the Al Bom Bom you can also find packaged handmade products such as shortbreads and the tipical Veneziane, Saltimpanza and Brasiliani pastries. Every product is made without preservatives, since the pursued philosophy is to make high quality products thanks to the best ingredients. Eppinger, the sweet story continues!
