Italian bakery and delicatessen in Ercolano (Naples), Camboni is a thirty year-old business and renowned in the area. It’s famous for its bread, available in various shapes, but also pizzas, taralli and many other delicious baked goods.
The bakers at this Italian bakery are considered masters in the production of bread in its various shapes. Over the years the bakery has maintained the same production methods and ingredients continuing to offer a genuine product of the highest quality, according to Neapolitan tradition.
One of Camboni’s most popular bakery products is the Palatone. It has an elongated shape and higher than the base; it is made with wheat flour, yeast, water, and the right amount of salt. The flour is added to the yeast dissolved in warm water and the mixture is left to leaven for several hours. The dough is then molded and the various forms are baked in a hot wood burning oven. The bread is golden and features thin crust and delicious white bread, which keeps fragrant for several days.
Another specialty of this Italian bakery is the Cafone bread, made with sourdough, not stored but leaven during business hours. So good that you can eat it alone, and excellent accompanied by cold cuts, or for breakfast.
Excellent also the braided bread, fragrant and scented; taralli, freselle, pizza in different flavors, etc.
From 2012 Camboni Bakery sells its baked goods all over Italy through its website. You no longer have excuses for not trying their delicious bread and other products.
